About the role

We’re looking for a Mortgage Underwriter with 3+ years of direct experience in residential mortgage underwriting. You’ll be joining a high-performing, client-first operation that works with a wide range of borrowers — especially real estate investors with complex portfolios and big goals.

This isn’t your average mortgage shop. You won’t just be underwriting cookie-cutter deals. You’ll be diving into challenging, strategic files where your problem-solving skills and industry insight truly matter.

Key responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and underwrite mortgage files with speed and accuracy
  • Structure deals in line with lender guidelines, regulatory requirements, and client needs
  • Communicate proactively with internal team members and lender partners
  • Help develop mortgage strategies that support clients with multiple properties or complex financials
  • Manage a high volume of files without compromising quality or compliance
  • Ensure proper documentation and risk assessment at all times

You should have:

  • 3+ years of full-time mortgage underwriting experience
  • Strong understanding of lender policies, insurer guidelines, and real estate investor-specific programs
  • Proficiency with Newton Velocity (required)
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Zoho CRM or similar client management tools
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • A calm, confident approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Are you a licensed Mortgage Agent with strong sales instincts — but no love for paperwork? This is your dream job.

BM Select is looking for exceptional mortgage sales agents who want to focus entirely on what they do best: working with clients and building referral relationships. If you’re energized by people, driven to compete, and confident in your ability to earn — we’ll handle the rest.

You’ll be working inside Canada’s #1 volume mortgage team, supported by elite underwriters, dedicated fulfillment staff, and full administrative and compliance coverage. You just focus on growth — we’ll cover the backend.

Key responsibilities

  • Work directly with inbound mortgage leads from our trusted referral partners and active marketing campaigns
  • Provide top-tier consultation, advice, and service to a wide range of residential and commercial mortgage clients — including high-net-worth borrowers and seasoned investors
  • Build and nurture new referral relationships within the real estate, financial services and investment community
  • Guide clients through the mortgage process with the full support of our underwriting, fulfillment, and compliance teams
  • Attend ongoing mentorship and strategic training sessions with our executive team and industry leaders

You should have:

  • FSRA Ontario Mortgage Agent License (Level 1 or higher)
  • A strong background or interest in sales, relationship-building, and consultative client service
  • High levels of initiative, follow-up, and personal accountability
  • Comfort operating in a performance-driven, commission-based environment
  • A desire to grow inside a company that rewards effort, skill, and results — not seniority

  • Underwriting experience (although it helps)
  • Knowledge of lender portals or documentation requirements
  • Compliance or fulfillment skills
